Key points follow-
- Well qualified with superb education. Education includes three successful years of pre-medical undergraduate studies, a bachelors’ in business administration and a masters’ of international management.
- Valuable experience includes US Peace Corps (Colombia, S.A.), international banking (Guatemala and Dominican Republic), money center banking, state banking in state public works (Bridgeport) and successful operation of a small limousine service business.
- Conservative on fiscal and social issues
- Promotes fair funding for education
- We must fix our broken judicial system
- For jobs, promotes the rehabilitation of the Bridgeport deep water harbor
- Reaffirms our great nation’s Judeo-Christian heritage
- Not a political insider
- Habla espanol.
Also, we have a current national crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic. I grieve for those who have been affected, either by illness, death and/or disruption of usual employment. There are four points which I stress for getting us past this crisis.
1. We all must respect our elected officials; state, local and national (Romans 13:1), while we peaceably work with them to make our government policies best.
2. While I support certain recommendations about limitations of individual activity, there has been a tendency in CT for such recommendations to be overbroad and of the one-size-fits-all category. Governor Lamont appears to be disposed to consider some limited relaxations of such recommendations. Let’s work with him to ensure that suitable adjustments are made soon considering a good balance between health (physical and mental) and economic factors.
3. While we must continue to support the development of effective cures, there should be more attention to the significant effect of proper nutrition in both the prevention and cure, a factor which has been largely overlooked by the specialists and the media. For starters, extra dosages of Vitamins C and D3 and of zinc can be very effective. I personally take daily 3 gms of C and 3,000 IU of D3. 30 mgs of zinc have been suggested. Patrick Moore, a nationally renowned naturopathic physician, recently made a great presentation to the Health Committee of the Bridgeport Chapter NAACP. I expect to have more to present of him shortly. Some of his work is described in his video Patrick Moore YouTube 48 Hours to Live Wallingford.
4. There must be reliance to God’s conditional promises;
“If my people; which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
II Chronicles 7:14
I will be applying for the state program for campaign financing. To qualify, I must obtain at least 150 contributions of minimum $5 from Bridgeport residents plus other funding to complete a minimum total of $5,000 including contributions up to $270 from anyone living in or out of Bridgeport or Connecticut. I realize that for many, this is a difficult time financially. But there are times that a financial investment at a time of hardship is the seed to get us beyond the challenge. Would you now make a donation to this very important and timely effort. You can do so through the following link:

THE SECULARIZATION OF GOVERNMENT -
THE PROCESS OF SEVERAL DECADES OF SOME TRYING TO TAKE GOD OUT OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Regarding my position on the secularization of government, the process of several decades of some attempting to remove God from public schools, I refer to the article I wrote in early 2012 entitled “The Secularization of Government”, found at the link on EthanForBpt.com, at the second paragraph of the Home page. It gives context for the 1947 Supreme Court decision of Everson v. Board of Education. The graphs of federal government statistics which accompany the article show glaring spikes in the figures for matters as violent crime, sexually transmitted disease, divorce and educational achievement at the point of the early 1960’s Supreme Court decisions prohibiting Bible reading and open prayer in public schools.
During my 2016 campaign for State Rep. (128th), I met a woman on the East Side who worked in Bridgeport as a secretary, working for over 30 years including during the time period that the Supreme Court issued its decisions. She says that from that point, she observed a marked decline in student conduct and educational achievement. She believes there is a connection.
Last year I met a man who for many years was a public school administrator in Milford. He says he observed marked declines in student conduct and educational achievement at the point of relaxation in the dress codes.
During my recent campaign for the Primary Election, I met a man who teaches philosophy in a public school in lower Fairfield County. He says that while there isn’t a specific prohibition of teachers talking about God/Jehovah, many teachers feel there is a political correctness code to refrain. He challenges this unwritten code by allowing his students to talk about God. He reports that many are desirous, even eager to do this. He finds they want to discuss in class matters such as of the existence of God and what this means. He also observed that when they are allowed to do so, they are less restless and are calmer.
I am a credible candidate with a workable plan, a candidate with courage and character to turn the rudder of the City government toward a better Bridgeport
